“Right of Cork” at Osteria Al Gigianca. The Wine? I bring it from home with BYOB!
BYOB (bring your own bottle) is a widespread practice overseas and little known in Italy, which from the possibility, a collectors and connoisseurs, to be able to combine, upon payment of the corkage fee (Corkage Fee), bottles of particular value from their chosen cellar_cc781905-5cde-3194 -bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ai dishes on the restaurant menu.
We have chosen to include this practice also in our restaurant in Bergamo because as great wine enthusiasts we know that often we have the problem of not knowing where, when and how to best taste the bottles of our collection. With the BYOB, we give all our customers the opportunity to bring their own wine from home to be able to taste it in combination with the dishes of our cuisine.
Your wine will be served to you at its best, with the right glasses and at the right temperature. For vintages and wines that require aeration, the bottle can be delivered to the restaurant even before dinner.
BYOB must be communicated at the time of booking. Wines brought from home must not be included in the restaurant's wine list.
The Cork Fee is €7.00 for each bottle uncorked
